Member Posts: 65 | My xj has been acting really funny. At first I thought it was the fuel pump because it would stall out and I would have to pump the gas to get it started. After getting it going I would have to give a little gas as I shifted in gear. However when this happens my gages all drop to nothing. It has got now where before it does this my temp gage drops first. All of the ground wires has be checked as well as the battery cables. Any ideas ???????? | |

Where is the volt gauge at at an idle? Does the raido and other accessories stay on when the dash goes off? Do the gauges come back on if you leave the key on? Not sure what to think of this one. Doesn't seem electrical, except the dash turning off. Any check engine light? | |

The Crankshaft posistion sensor can also cause those issues. | |
