Working feverishly to get the CJ done before Blessing, got the drive train almost installed.

Here's a link to the build thread on a CJ specific forum

Hmm which way to go?  Dropped the tub onto the chassis to see how things line up.  Looks alot taller than I thought.

Was planning on putting 33's under it.  It has 3.31 gears in it right now (pushing it with 33's), and the dana 30 front is limited to 3.55 because of carrier (don't gain much).  I have a dana 44 front  that I could put on it that has 3.73's, but would need a matching rear.  I've got a five leaf pack that I could take the second longest out of and possibly bring it down some.

Just got to thinking, these springs have been sitting for 6+ years and are probably pretty tight.  They might loosen up once I get it on the road and move them.

Any ideas which way to go? or just put together and see.  Makning changes later?

I say finish it as it is.  It looks like you still have a lot of weight to add, so I wouldnt change much until it is at the finished weight. Changing springs or axles wont be much harder under a finished jeep. Dont know if this is the way to go, just what I was thinking. Looking good!!

The trans and T/C are from the rat ride, but the engine hasn't been run in over 6 years.  Not bad started with less than one can of ether.

On the road again.  Put enough lights to be legal and took it on a shakedown cruise.  Pick proves I actually made it back to the garage:lol:

Blessing here I come, and it needs it!
