I don't know about the rest of the XJ owners, but I hate my stock fender flares. However I am also not very fond of the flareless look. Well it seems that bushwacker has answered my prayers with their new Flat style fender flares for the XJ. I have pasted some specs below but they do not do the new flares justice. Have a look at the pixs from the instructions, these flares look great. Here is the web address http://www.bushwacker.com/fender.asp?make2=5&cat2=87&search=Search

To each his own, I've looked at those before and they look like you took lawn edging and stapled it to your xj :)

I guess to get what I want I'll have to fab it myself

I don't have an XJ to really appreciate these flares, but I think the cut out flares look beter than the flat style.

LOL LOL I can see what you mean but I still like them. I do like the cut out fender flares but the are not improving that much from what I have right now. These flat flares are pretty tough from what I  have heard from the people that I could find that have them. I have always like the flat style on jeep wranglers and always wanted some for my XJ even if they do look like lawn edging to some people
