Hey all, my 99 TJ, 4ltr, auto trans is acting up. Slips bad then BANGS into gear, but once its moving it seems to pull good and stay in gear. As if its low on trans oil, but it's not. I'm guessin its not good news. Any thoughts, or any suggestions as to who will give me a fair shake at a possible rebuild? Thought about just changing the fluid/filter, but it feels more major than that. Should I consider any performance mods if someones going to have to so surgery on it? Thanks

you would be surprised what a differnence just a fluid and filterchange will do, especially if the fluid is questionable to start with. I would suggest changing it your self or bring it over and I will do it for ya, but what ever you do avoid anyplace that uses a high pressure flushing machine

New oil and filter seemed to have made a huge difference. I'm still chasing a smell, like a leak, but nothing obviouse yet. Was up north this weekend and pushed it on a sand hill several times. Pulled hard in low range with the ARB locked. Happy for now. Ready to go! Thanks
